Kent J. Edwards, known as Caught By Kent, is a self-taught photographer from Bowie, Maryland, whose journey has been guided by faith, passion, and creativity. Kent's career was sparked by a fine arts class when he was 15. From the moment he picked up a camera, it molded into his hands and became an extension of himself. Kent’s unconventional path allowed his creativity to flourish, free from constraints.

After spending three formative years rooted in the DMV area, his career developed through opportunities that expanded both his vision and leadership. An internship with the Portland Trail Blazers ignited his passion of storytelling in sports photography, while his first professional role at Pacific University deepened his perspective and taught him to lead through his craft. During his internship at Thomson Reuters, he learned to craft narratives on a deeper level beyond the sports world. All of these experiences combined unlocked the opportunity to have his work featured in a Wider Image story, which stands as one of his proudest accomplishments.
